Missions

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Lebanon First Baptist Church believes we are called to spread God’s love by encouraging and uplifting each other and our community. Our church is honored to partner with, and financially support, the local non-profit organizations shown below.

In addition to the listed organizations, LFBC also takes up a collection on Super Bowl Sunday to donate money to a local cause, such as the Stokes Food Pantry. We also have a “Pay It Forward” day, which is sometimes a community project, and other times it’s in-house where we help members of our congregation who are in need.

Extending beyond our community, LFBC participates in Operation Christmas Child, which provides “shoeboxes” filled with toys, hygiene items, and more to children around the world.

Local Ministries

Giving back to our community

We believe in giving back to our local community. The ministries we support help our community in a variety of ways.

Love INC

Partners with local churches to provide assistance to families in need. Through Love INC.’s “gap ministry” called Ruth’s Closet, our church provides cleaning supplies to neighbors in need.

The Caring Center

Helps families in poverty and those who are food insecure. Our church hosts an annual food drive to collect groceries and supplies needed by the center.

Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge

Evangelizes to those struggling with life-controlling issues. They strive to help people “become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.”

You're Not Alone

Supports those recently diagnosed with cancer. They provide care packages to first time chemo/radiation patients within Boone County.

Boone County Cancer Society

Provides financial assistance to Boone County residents diagnosed with Cancer. They also provide patient transportation, loan medical equipment, and help obtain wigs and prostheses. Our church helps with the BCCS Battle of the BBQ fundraising event.

Shalom House

Aims to eradicate hunger in Boone County by providing meals to those in need. Our church helps fund and pack lunches for the Kids’ Sack Lunch Program, which feeds children when school is not in session.

Mental Health America of Boone County

“Promotes and develops programs providing safe refuge from traumatic life events” such as domestic violence and divorce. They also offer several academic and after-school programs for children.

Boone County Senior Services

“Promotes independence and provides enriching opportunities for older adults in Boone County.” They provide transportation, give support to caregivers, and host activities such as art classes and line dancing.
